Because Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a nonprofit organization, philanthropy is essential to maintaining our role as a leader in making health care personal. Donor support is necessary to fulfill all areas of our mission from our researchers who pursue ideas that can lead to critical discoveries, to our residents and fellows who receive expert training and our health care teams who provide compassionate, specialized care to patients.

The Canby Robinson Society honors and encourages those who provide annual support at the leadership level for the health care, discovery research and professional training programs at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. George Canby Robinson, MD, was dean of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in the 1920s and oversaw the design of a new Medical Center building with teaching, patient care and research capabilities under one roof. This culture of collaboration remains a hallmark of the Medical Center today.

The Canby Robinson Society recognizes individual households making leadership gifts of $1,000 or more on an annual basis supporting the mission of Vanderbilt University Medical Center. You can find information about donation levels and benefits below.
